After a 15 yr break I decided to get back into riding, I’d never had formal instruction (dirt bikes as a kid) and it showed when I rode with my wife, who I had insisted get training. She was more technically proficient than I was because she had only learned the right way. I started watching videos and some were good some weren’t but when I found Kevin’s MCRider videos I knew I’d found the series of instruction I needed.

Within a few weeks of practicing skills from his YouTube channel, I decided I really wanted to support what he was doing and I became a Member of MC Rider and that unlocked a whole additional resource. If you’re looking to improve your motorcycling skills in an extremely supportive community, you found the place.

Returning to motorcycling after a two decade hiatus, I didn’t even know the right questions to ask. As I immersed myself in my new owners manual, I had more questions. MCRider has established itself as the go-to web site for the developing rider in all of us. The first, most important lesson I learned from everyone is their desire for my success. In a world where too many are seeking another’s failure, failure on two wheels is a failure of the teacher AND the student. Every members thoughts an opinions are oriented towards success and safety for each other. Here I found the confidence to put my leg over a GoldWing and succeed in taming a potentially wild horse into an extension of my desire to ride well and see everyone on the road, wherever they may be. For now, I learn. Soon, I shall be the teacher because of MCRider.

Kevin’s videos and sage advise is very helpful and reinforces the right things to do and what not to do. I especially like his way of teaching, a little laid back but always worth listening to. Like he says, the most important “nut on the bike is the one attached to the handle bars”, be sure it’s on tight and right.

…your channel is a “School” I can attend and learn many riding skills and information that it would take years to gather. I have always been taught to seek out the experts if you want to learn.
